Multiple fully-funded Ph.D. positions are available at the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS) and Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in the Florida State University (FSU) for Spring 2020/Fall 2020.
The prospective PhD students will have the opportunity to:
– work on the security of cyber-physical systems and embedded devices, power system analysis and real-time simulation tools for utility networks, and cutting-edge technologies to enhance the security of the future electric grid;
– work closely with FSU-CAPS partners in utilities, industries and other universities;
– have access to commercial grade software and hardware.
The candidate PhD student is expected to have:
– a good background in the field of electric power systems and computer science and security;
– experience in the following areas: proficiency in programming skills, control systems, computational intelligence, and machine learning.
*Candidates with a Master degree in the related fields are highly preferred.
