The Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory (Univ. Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP, CNRS) has a PhD position opening in Power Systems – “Rejuvenation of Electric Distribution Grids through Optimal Design and Control of Smart Soft Open Points“. The PhD will be co-supervised by a Power Electronic team at NTU Singapore, where an interaction with another PhD focusing on the component itself (SOP) is planned. The application deadline is November 2020.
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical power engineering, with a strong background in control of power electronics.
We encourage highly motivated and excellent candidates to apply for this position.
Successful candidates should have:
– Strong skills in modelling and control for power systems;
– Experience in power electronics hardware and/or software development;
– Strong skills in oral and written communications.
